As the Hamas terror group recently marked the 24th anniversary of its founding, its leader in Gaza used the opportunity to remind everyone of his group’s real goals.

At the ceremony, Hamas’ Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh said that Hamas may work for the "interim objective of liberation of Gaza, the West Bank, or Jerusalem,” but added that Hamas' long-term “strategic” goal is to eliminate all of Israel.

Haniyeh’s speech was broadcast on Hamas’ Al Aqsa TV and it was translated and presented by the Palestinian Media Watch research institute.

In the speech Haniyeh said, “The armed resistance and the armed struggle are the path and the strategic choice for liberating the Palestinian land, from the [Mediterranean] sea to the [Jordan] river, and for the expulsion of the invaders and usurpers [Israel]... We won't relinquish one inch of the land of Palestine."

He also promised that Hamas will “lead Intifada after Intifada until we liberate Palestine - all of Palestine, Allah willing. Allah Akbar and praise Allah."

Palestinian Media Watch noted that two days later, Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas contradicted Haniyeh’s statements and said that Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal had agreed that “there will be no military resistance” and that “the permanent solution is on the ‘67 borders [1949 armistice lines –ed.]."

Mashaal himself made similar comments last week, saying that for the time being the organization intends to focus on popular protests in the spirit of the Arab Spring, rather than armed resistance against Israel. Hamas’ co-founder Mahmoud al-Zahar later confirmed this.
The comments were made after reconciliation talks between Fatah and Hamas had taken place in Cairo. The talks resulted in an announcement that Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and other terror factions would be joining the PLO.

Meanwhile, Haniyeh called on Arab leaders to stop the 'Judaization' of Jerusalem on Tuesday.

Haniyeh's call for Arab leaders to pressure Israel into not asserting its sovereignty in its eternal and indivisible capital came from Cairo, where he kicked off his whirlwind tour of Egypt, Sudan, Qatar, Bahrain, Tunisia, and Turkey.

Almighty Yahweh is the protector of Israel and He will defeat all her enemies that boast of Israel's destruction. Here in Psalm 144 is a prayer for rescue and prosperity of Israel.

Psalm 144
Prayer for Rescue and Prosperity.
A Psalm of David.

1 Blessed be Yahweh my rock,
Who trains my hands for war,
And my fingers for battle;
2 My lovingkindness and my fortress,
My stronghold and my deliverer,
My shield and He in whom I take refuge,
Who subdues my people under me.
3 O Yahweh, what is man, that You take knowledge of him?
Or the son of man, that You think of him?
4 Man is like a mere breath;
His days are like a passing shadow.
5 Bow Your heavens, O Yahweh, and come down;
Touch the mountains, that they may smoke.
6 Flash forth lightning and scatter them;
Send out Your arrows and confuse them.
7 Stretch forth Your hand from on high;
Rescue me and deliver me out of great waters,
Out of the hand of aliens
8 Whose mouths speak deceit,
And whose right hand is a right hand of falsehood.
9 I will sing a new song to You, O Elohim;
Upon a harp of ten strings I will sing praises to You,
10 Who gives salvation to kings,
Who rescues David His servant from the evil sword.
11 Rescue me and deliver me out of the hand of aliens,
Whose mouth speaks deceit
And whose right hand is a right hand of falsehood.
12 Let our sons in their youth be as grown-up plants,
And our daughters as corner pillars fashioned as for a palace;
13 Let our garners be full, furnishing every kind of produce,
And our flocks bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our fields;
14 Let our cattle bear
Without mishap and without loss,
Let there be no outcry in our streets!
15 How blessed are the people who are so situated;
How blessed are the peozple whose Elohim is Yahweh! (NASB)

Israel, U.S. discuss triggers for military strike on Iran

The Daily Beast reports that the countries are discussing "red lines" in Iran's nuclear program, that if crossed would justify a preemptive strike on its nuclear facilities.

Israel and the U.S. are discussing "red lines" in Iran's nuclear program, that if crossed would justify a preemptive strike on its nuclear facilities, the Daily Beast website reported on Wednesday.

According to the report, Israel's ambassador to the U.S., Michael Oren, filed an official complaint with the administration following a speech by U.S. Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta a few weeks ago, warning against a military strike on Iran.

The Daily Beast reported that Panetta's statements infuriated the Israeli government, which ordered ambassador Oren to file the complaint. The White House then relayed a message to Israel saying the administration has its own "red lines" concerning a strike on Iran, and that Israel does not need to act unilaterally. Israel's protest also resulted in Panetta reversing his stand in an interview with CBS, saying the U.S. will use any means necessary to prevent Iran from developing a nuclear weapon.

Patrick Clawson from the Washington Institute for Near East Policy said in the report that "If Iran were found to be sneaking out or breaking out then the president's advisers are firmly persuaded he would authorize the use of military force to stop it." However, he added that "we just don’t know how the president will react."

The Daily Beast also reported that as part of the strategic dialogue between Israel and the U.S. that took place earlier this month, Israel presented new information about Iran’s efforts to build secret reactors for nuclear fuel production, and showed that these efforts were further along than the U.S. thought. Some of the intelligence was based on soil samples collected near the suspected sites.

Israel and the U.S. disagree about how far along Iran's uranium enrichment program has developed, making it difficult for the two sides to formulate "red lines" concerning the Islamic Republic's nuclear program.

Israel and the U.S. must learn to rely on Yahweh who will protect Israel from all enemies if only Israel will trust in Him and turn back to Him with all their hearts. Yahweh has given them the land of Israel an will fight their battles for them if they will only be faithful.
