Shalom Brethren and Friends,

We hope that you are doing well and receiving blessings from above. It is always a pleasure to communicate with those who are part of this ministry. We thank Yahweh for you and for all who worship Him in Spirit and in Truth!

Website Improvements

Truly Almighty Yahweh is blessing. We have good news to report about the YPTC website. The site has been completely redesigned and new sections have been added. We now have a section for the young and young-at-heart, along with many other improvements and additions.

A great deal of time and effort was put into this project by our new webmaster. The site is much easier to navigate and looks fantastic. By making these improvements, we hope to continue to attract new people to the site and keep it interesting and useful for those who regularly visit. Since the inception of our website, we have sought to portray Yahweh and Yahshua through the Truth of the Word. As you have probably noticed in the past, we do not put any names on the articles, and we will continue this policy. Despite the occasional criticism, it is our sole intention to give Yahweh and Yahshua the honor and glory and not man/men. Freely they have given us the Truth and freely we seek to give it to others. It is our intention to continually add new features and capabilities to this outreach to keep it new and fresh. There are a variety of additions planned for the near future.

If you have access to the Web, take the time to visit and let us know your thoughts and suggestions.

A People With a Purpose

The True Worship of Yahweh found in the scriptures is not a religion; it is a faith that is lived as a way of life. That way of life is based upon love for Yahweh and love for our neighbor. We are reminded throughout the pages of the Bible that we are to put this into practice by obeying Yahweh’s covenant and thus witness our faith to those around us. This concept outlined in the passage is known as the “Shema.”

"Hear, O Israel! Yahweh is our Elohim, Yahweh is one! You shall love Yahweh your Elohim with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand and they shall be as frontals on your forehead. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates." (Deuteronomy 6:4-9, NASU)

That way of life which Yahweh teaches us is found in the first five books of the Bible called the Torah which means “teaching, instruction or guidance.” In biblical usage it is associated with similar terms such as commandments, laws, ordinances, statutes, and judgments. Specifically, in terms of the sacred scriptures, Torah refers to the first five books of the Bible which are also known as the Pentateuch. Torah is the foundation of all other scripture and is the very basis of the New Covenant. “Behold, days are coming, declares Yahweh, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah, not like the covenant which I made with their fathers in the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, although I was a husband to them, declares Yahweh. But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares Yahweh, I will put My law within them and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their Elohim, and they shall be My people.” (Jeremiah 31:31-33, NASU)

The Hebrew word translated here as law is “Torah.” Those of us who would enter into the New Covenant with Yahweh through the shed blood of our Savior are required to have Yahweh’s teaching and instructions written within our hearts and minds. This is what motivates us to obey and gives us a special purpose in this life. Yahshua is described as the Word (Torah) made flesh (John 1:14). He never sinned (transgressed Yahweh’s Law—1 John 3:4) and never sought do away with any aspect of Yahweh’s Law. In fact, He upheld Torah (Matthew 5:17-20) and taught us that the only way to life is by keeping the commandments (Matthew 19:16-22).

The Torah instructs us and gives us the purpose of life, and guides us on the narrow pathway that leads to that life. It is mandatory that we daily seek out Yahweh in prayer, study his Word and look to him to reveal our purpose as individual worshipers and collectively as a body of believers. We read in Proverbs 11:14: “Where there is no guidance the people fall, But in abundance of counselors there is victory.” (NASU)

Through his Torah, Almighty Yahweh has given us guidance so that we will not fall away from the Truth. Yahweh’s Torah gives His people a vision that will bring us together as a unit and take us into the joy of salvation through Yahshua, the Word (Torah) made flesh. “Where there is no vision, the people cast off restraint; But he that keeps the law, happy is he.” (Proverbs 29:18, ASV) Let us fulfill our only purpose through his Torah law.

Kenya

Kenya Report. “Shalom from Kenya YPTC brothers the world over. We are grateful as Yahweh continues to lead and direct our lives to His will. We have seen our Heavenly Father work in us in a special way. More and more are contacting us wanting to learn of the better way. The elders here are planning on a date to immerse new found brethren in Kisii. During the last month or so, 9 were baptized into the precious Name of Yahshua our Messiah.

“A few weeks ago one brother from Naivasha was also baptized. For all this work, we give honor and glory to Father Yahweh through Yahshua Messiah.

“Yahweh led us to sincere seekers in Kisii and upon our first visit 24 men and women believed the glad tidings. There are also about 20 children. A week ago, we returned to edify them and a young woman and an elderly man were added.

“We have a tight schedule as there is a group at a place called Mabroukie who are too willing to join with us. Another group of six is holding Sabbath services with brother Ngugi in Moi-Ndabi and have not yet met with the elders. We will be traveling there soon. There are people in Nyahururu also waiting to be immersed.

“There is a wedding scheduled for August. We will write more about that soon. The pre-wedding fund raiser is scheduled for 13th August.

“Please continue to pray for Yahweh's work here. As always, we are happy that Yahweh found us worthy to represent His Truth in Kenya. Yahweh bless all who seek to do His will.”

NEWS, NOTES & NOTABLES

  • A New Car for Kenya! While the specific vehicle has not yet been purchased, we are pleased to report that sufficient funds were donated over the past few months for the brethren in Kenya to acquire a vehicle. What a true blessing it will be for the ministers to be able to travel around the country, visiting the many individuals who have expressed a desire to know more about our Father Yahweh and our Savior Yahshua.

Since our journey there last fall, the ministers, along with several of the brethren, have made many trips around Kenya. These trips on occasion have required as many as 9 or 10 hours of travel one way, mostly due to the use of public transportation. A vehicle will significantly shorten travel time. It will also make it much easier to visit some of the brethren more frequently.

Please visit the Kenya Ministry page on our website for more information and for updates on Yahweh’s work being done there.

  • Ministerial Meeting. On June 24-26, the YPTC ministers met in Central Pennsylvania to discuss various congregational matters. At the center of our discussions was the topic of the coming Shemitah. As with all of the doctrines we hold, we thought it necessary to re-examine this subject. With prayer and diligent research we believe Yahweh will guide us to best possible way to faithfully keep this observance. One of the conclusions reached is that preponderance of evidence researched supports the present schedule of Sabbatical cycles we have been observing. We shall therefore continue to maintain this timetable. This means that we are presently in year five of the seven-year cycle, with year six beginning on the Day of Atonement this fall. The next Sabbatical year will run from the fall of 2007 to the fall of 2008. We will provide more details during this upcoming FOT.

Several other topics were also covered. A full report shall be presented during FOT. We believe all will be encouraged by the Yahweh-inspired ideas we will present at that time. Yahweh is truly leading His people in these last days.

  • New Moons. As reported in our last newsletter, the next new moon, marking the fifth scriptural month, should be seen on the evening of July 26 shortly after sundown. Twenty-nine days later the sixth month will begin with the confirmation of the new crescent on the evening of August 24. It is hard to believe that with that confirmation, August 25 will begin the sixth month and mark six weeks until the Feast of Tabernacles!

Weather permitting, the July new moon should be plainly visible in most of the world on July 26, making July 27 new moon day. However, the sixth month new moon will be very difficult to see on the evening of August 24, and will probably only be visible in western U.S. PLEASE remember to call in to report the details of your sighting. The toll free number is 1-888-FOR-YPTC (1-888-367-9782)..

The Power of Prayer.

“Give ear to my words, O Yahweh, consider my sighing. Listen to my cry for help, my King and my Elohim, for to you I pray. In the morning, O Yahweh, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation.” (Psalm 5:1-2, NIV).

Like King David, believers through the ages have believed in the power of approaching Yahweh with their physical, emotional, and spiritual ailments. We believe He will intervene if we approach Him with a sincere and humble heart.

Prayer is especially effective when we unite in our pleas and place them before the throne of Yahweh. The following individuals have asked that we join them in doing just that. May Yahweh hear their cries and answer our prayers on their behalf.

The News in Prophecy

Will Yahshua Soon Return?

For those who have not been keeping up with the news, things are looking rather bleak in the nation of Israel. The terrorist group Hamas (with its new government based in Gaza) has, as of this writing, killed two Israeli soldiers and kidnapped another. They are demanding the release of hundreds and maybe even thousands of terrorists being held by Israel, whose response is that it will not negotiate with terrorists. The Israeli’s know that if they give in to these demands, no Israeli soldier would be safe since the terrorists would continue to use this as a weapon against Israel in the future.

This position is borne out in the fact that, to the north in Lebanon, the Hezbollah terrorist group has done the same thing. They have also killed seven soldiers and kidnapped two others, forcing the small nation of Israel to defend itself on two fronts. The withdrawal of Israel from the Gush Katif region did nothing to bring peace to the region; rather, it emboldened these despicable terrorists to believe that if they keep up the pressure on Israel, they will eventually drive all the Israelis into the sea.

Let us all unite in prayer to Almighty Yahweh that His will be done in all things, and that these terrible times lead to a renewed faith in Yahweh’s Truth!

Let us read and pay close attention to the end-time prophecies of Yahweh’s Word. “Go, my people, enter your rooms and shut the doors behind you; hide yourselves for a little while until his wrath has passed by. See, Yahweh is coming out of his dwelling to punish the people of the earth for their sins. The earth will disclose the blood shed upon her; she will conceal her slain no longer.” (Isaiah 26:20-21, NIV) We can see at least a partial fulfillment of this prophecy by what is presently occuring in northern Israel. Israeli residents who are in range of missile attacks were instructed to spend the night in their bomb shelters and safe rooms. Is this the final fulfillment of this prophecy? We can only wait and see. Over 120 Katyusha rockets and 500 mortar shells struck northern Israel on Thursday, July 13 alone. The Hezbollah terrorists in Lebanon have more sophisticated weaponry than the Hamas terrorists in Gaza. This is apparent by the fact that one Katyusha rocket (range - approx. 20 mi. – moderately accurate) actually struck the shipping port of Haifa, deep in Israel. Kassam rockets (range – approx. five mi.- relatively inaccurate) continue to land on Israel from the Gaza region. Israel has responded with the heavy bombing of strategic sights in Gaza and now in Lebanon. It intends to bring down the Hamas government as it now stands. Make no mistake about it brothers and sisters, these terrorists mean to kill every Israeli they can and actually have this as part of their official charters!

Iran has now stated that if Israel attacks Syria (a supplier of weapons in collusion with Iran), it will in turn attack Israel. This is more than just a conflict. It is a war that escalates daily, and in all probability will get far worse before it gets any better. Many people worldwide are opining this as the possible start of World War III.

Whether or not this is true, only Yahweh knows. But again, let us raise our collective voices in prayer against the evil that is rampant in the world today!

We recommend to all who have internet access that they daily visit www.israelnationalnews.com or www.arutzsheva.org to get the latest news events in Israel. When our representatives were in Israel last spring, they asked a friend of this organization who lives there for the most accurate medium to stay informed of current events in Israel. He directed us to Arutz Sheva, which is the news agency at the above web address.

World Leaders Criticize Israel While President Bush Defends

European countries, along with Russia, denounced Israel’s retaliation in Lebanon as disproportionate. (Arutz Sheva) While paying lip service to Israel’s right to defend itself, this statement clearly shows that these national leaders are anti-Semitic/anti-Israel. Where are the cries of outrage from these nations against the kidnapping and mutilation of innocent people by these terrorist groups? The attitude of these governments toward Israel could quickly give rise to the fulfillment of prophecy. “When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near.” (Luke 21:20-21, NIV) If they try to force Israel to back down and Israel refuses, international leaders could quickly amass an army to force them.

This unified effort could bring about the formation of the Beast government and the fulfillment of prophecy. "For Yahweh has put it in their hearts to execute His purpose by having a common purpose, and by giving their kingdom to the beast, until the words of Yahweh will be fulfilled." (Revelation 17:17, NASU)

Be sure to prayerfully watch world events in light of Scripture very closely, as the end could be very near. The “Day of Yahweh” will come as a thief in the night when people, even those who are religious and read the Bible, least expect it and are unprepared for what is ahead. “But of the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of Yahweh so comes as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction comes upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.” (1 Thessalonians 5:1-3, KJV) This passage agrees with what Yahshua said in Matthew 24:6-8: “You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains.” (NIV)

Yahshua instructs us not to be worried when we see these things coming to pass. While the prophesied catastrophes and the destruction in the end of the age are dreadful to contemplate, all should take heart in knowing that these events must occur before our Redeemer can return. We must heed the warning and watch for prophecy to be fulfilled. "Therefore be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Master is coming. But be sure of this, that if the head of the house had known at what time of the night the thief was coming, he would have been on the alert and would not have allowed his house to be broken into." (Matthew 24:42-43, NASU)

Arutz Sheva related the following: U.S. President George W. Bush, who was recently traveling in Germany for talks, defended the Jewish State. "Israel has the right to defend herself," Bush said. "My attitude is this: there are a group of terrorists who want to stop the advance of peace. Those of us who are peace-loving must work together to help the agents of peace." It remains to be seen if the U.S. will continue as a strong supporter and defender of Israel.

Those individuals who accept the “mark of the Beast” and who oppose the Savior when He returns shall be destroyed by Yahshua. “And I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies assembled to make war against Him who sat on the horse and against His army. And the beast was seized, and with him the false prophet who performed the signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image; these two were thrown alive into the lake of fire which burns with brimstone. And the rest were killed with the sword which came from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse, and all the birds were filled with their flesh.” (Revelation 19:19-21, NASU)

Several of the prophets spoke of the day when Yahweh shall bring judgment and destruction to the wicked, and deliverance and hope for Yahweh’s people. “Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of Yahweh is near in the valley of decision. The sun and moon grow dark and the stars lose their brightness. Yahweh roars from Zion and utters His voice from Jerusalem, and the heavens and the earth tremble. But Yahweh is a refuge for His people and a stronghold to the sons of Israel. Then you will know that I am Yahweh your Elohim, Dwelling in Zion, My holy mountain. So Jerusalem will be holy, and strangers will pass through it no more.” (Joel 3:14-17, NASU)

Beware of False Prophets

In Matthew, chapter 24, Yahshua predicted that, just prior to His second coming, there will be false messiahs and false prophets that would come in His name, and if it is possible lead astray the elect. In verse 5 we read: "For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am the Messiah, and will mislead many…’” Verse 11 reads: “Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many…” And in verse 24: “For false Messiahs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect.” (NASU)

At the present time there is a self proclaimed prophet and “cult” leader who has predicted that on September 12, 2006, a nuclear war will begin. He and his followers use the name of the Heavenly Father, Yahweh, and the name of His Son, Yahshua. Many of his adherents live on a compound in Texas and there are others scattered throughout the U.S. and in foreign countries. Because this group purports to be “Torah observant,” and uses the names of Yahweh and Yahshua, some misguided people have lumped this group in with others possessing somewhat similar beliefs. For the record, the elders and members of YPTC state in no uncertain terms that we are in no way associated with this group or its leader, and do not support this prediction.

Because of previous inaccurate pronouncements such as this one, the American media has so far showed little interest. However, things are very different in Kenya, East Africa. We have received reports from our elders there that this “prophecy” of an impending nuclear war has created turmoil in that nation. Apparently this man’s followers are selling their property and preparing for a disaster they believe to be imminent. There are concerns within that country’s government that something needs to be done before widespread panic occurs. The Kenyan members of YPTC have been falsely lumped into the same category and could possibly be recipients of whatever action is taken by the government. Please pray for Yahweh’s protection for our brethren in Kenya.

We will wait for September 12 to see what happens. It is highly unlikely that this prophecy will be any different from those unfulfilled in the past. In His Torah, Yahweh tells us how to view situations like this one. "When a prophet speaks in the name of Yahweh, if the thing does not come about or come true, that is the thing which Yahweh has not spoken. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him.” (Deuteronomy 18:22, NASU)

Yahweh further states that if what is spoken does not agree with Torah then there is no light in them. “To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because they have no dawn.” (Isaiah 8:20, NASU)

Truly we are living in exciting times. Let us continue to prayerfully examine the news in the light of Yahweh’s Word. As prophecy moves forward, so we must move ahead spiritually and draw closer to Yahweh and Yahshua. “It will come about after this, That I will pour out My Spirit on all mankind; And your sons and daughters will prophesy, Your old men will dream dreams, Your young men will see visions. Even on the male and female servants I will pour out My Spirit in those days. I will display wonders in the sky and on the earth, Blood, fire and columns of smoke. The sun will be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, Before the great and awesome day of Yahweh comes. And it will come about that whoever calls on the name of Yahweh, Will be delivered; For on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem, There will be those who escape, As Yahweh has said, Even among the survivors whom Yahweh calls.” (Joel 2:28-32, NASU)

Fear Not!

Yahshua has told us: “Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has chosen gladly to give you the kingdom.” (Luke 12:32, NASU)

It is human nature to be afraid of the unknown future, but if we wish to be delivered or protected from the difficulties ahead, we must temper our fear and keep our eyes on the prize of Yahweh’s Kingdom. That kingdom will be a time when the earth will return to the way it was in Eden. The Torah of Yahweh will be the law of the land and there will be peace, joy, and happiness as Yahshua rules as King!

We must learn the lesson now of perfect love, which overcomes all fear. As the Apostle John has told us: “By this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, so also are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love.” (1 John 4:17-18, NASU)

May Almighty Yahweh continue to bless His people and prepare us with His perfect love to meet the tests that are to come.

We thank Almighty Yahweh for all who worship Him in Spirit and in the Truth.
