[ April 2007 Newsletter ]

Shalom Brethren and Friends in Yahshua,

It is with great pleasure that we come to you with the news of this ministry. We appreciate all who have an interest in YPTC and in our efforts to fulfill the mission given to us by Yahweh.

The center piece for this newsletter is a new section called “Eyes on Israel.” In this section we are featuring information regarding The Temple Mount Faithful and its founder Mr. Gershon Salomon. What is presented in this section is of great interest to those who are interested in end-time prophecy.

Bible prophecy brings the scriptures alive, especially when we see its fulfillment right before our eyes. With our attention on what is happening in Israel, we are seeing some astounding things taking place which have the potential to move prophecy ahead at a very rapid rate. Yahweh has told us that in the time of the end the wise will understand what is happening while the wicked will not.

“He said, ‘Go your way, Daniel, for these words are concealed and sealed up until the end time. Many will be purged, purified and refined, but the wicked will act wickedly; and none of the wicked will understand, but those who have insight will understand.’” (Daniel 12:9-10; NASU)

We believe that Almighty Yahweh is indeed giving insight and understanding to His people so that we will properly comprehend the fulfillment of end-time prophecy. Part of the purpose of this ministry is to disseminate the truth that Yahweh has revealed to us. We seek to follow the Messiah’s teaching and be like salt and light. “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled under foot by men. You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:13-16; NASU)

Without a doubt, we know that Yahweh will do nothing without first revealing these things to His servants. “Surely Yahweh Elohim does nothing unless He reveals His secret counsel to His servants the prophets. A lion has roared! Who will not fear? Yahweh Elohim has spoken! Who can but prophesy?” (Amos 3:7-8; NASU)

When Yahweh reveals the fulfillment of prophecy to His people, they are obligated to let others know what is happening before it is too late. Yahweh’s Word is true, and all things will be fulfilled according to His will. “And he said to me, ‘These words are faithful and true; and Yahweh, the Elohim of the spirits of the prophets, sent His angel to show to His bond-servants the things which must soon take place. And behold, I am coming quickly. Blessed is he who heeds the words of the prophecy of this book.’” (Revelation 22:6-7; NASU)

May we heed these words and open our ears to the voice of Yahweh that is speaking to us through His sacred Word. We must look ahead to the Kingdom that is to come and be prepared for what is ahead.

News, Notes & Notables

  • New Year New Moon. On the evening of March 19, 2007, there were a number of new moon sightings across the USA. March 20, therefore, was new moon day.
  • 2nd Month New Moon. On the evening of April 18, 2007, the visible crescent for the 2nd month new moon should be easily sighted in most of the world, making April 19, 2007, the first day of the 2nd scriptural month. Remember to look for this new moon and be sure to report your findings. We can be reached toll free at 1-888-367-9782.
  • 2nd Passover. On the evening of Tuesday, May 1, 2007, the Passover memorial will be observed by those who were unable to participate in the first scriptural month (See Numbers 9:1-14). For those who need the Passover CD, please contact us immediately by phone at 1-888-367-9782.
  • Psalms and Selected Scriptures, 2nd Edition. We once again have copies of Psalms and Selected Scriptures available. Copies can be acquired with a $10 donation to YPTC. This book is a revision of the American Standard Version of the Bible. The Sacred name and appropriate titles have been put back into the text, and in order to make the text easier to read and understand, we have substituted modern English words for the archaic Old English words.

With so many different translations being used in the average congregation, this book makes it possible for the whole congregation to read a devotional Psalm and benediction passage together in unison. To get a copy of this book, call: 1-888-367-9782 or write to us at:

  • Count to Pentecost. On the evening of April 7, 2007, with the offering of Yahshua the Messiah as our spiritual wave sheaf, we began the commanded count to Pentecost. We are told in Leviticus 23:15-16 to count from the weekly Sabbath seven (weekly) Sabbaths plus one day, or 50 days. Beginning the count on Sunday, April 8, 2007, makes May 27, 2007, Feast of Weeks day.
  • 3rd Year Tithe. Presently, we are halfway through the 6th year of the Sabbatical cycle, which means that we are in a third year tithe (Deuteronomy 14:28-29). We believe that it is up to each individual to save back that tithe, and to be responsible with dispersing it to those in need.

On behalf of our brethren in Kenya, East Africa, and this ministry, we ask that if you have extra 3rd year tithes that you consider sending it to YPTC to be used by brethren in need. If you send in any 3rd year tithe, please make sure that you designate it to be used for those in need. Yahweh gives a special blessing to those who remember the needy by keeping this commandment of love (Deuteronomy 26:12-15).
  • The Power of Prayer. In order to maintain our spiritual closeness with Almighty Yahweh, we need to spend time in prayer each and every day. Some of the most moving passages of scriptures are prayers that were offered. Examples of this are John chapter 17—Yahshua’s prayer with and for His disciples, Daniel chapter 9—Daniel’s heartfelt prayer and confession, 2 Chronicles chapter 6—King Solomon’s prayer of dedication for the newly built temple, and Psalm 51—King David’s prayer of forgiveness. These are only a few of the many occasions where prayer has had a significant effect on Yahweh’s people.

We must follow these examples and seek to express our innermost feelings and desires to our Holy Father. Yahshua told us that the prayer of faith can literally move mountains, if need be. Do we have that kind of faith? Let us pray for one another and cause our faith to be increased.

Each month we receive requests for prayer from individuals and families who petition our Heavenly Father to intervene in their lives. In some cases physical problems exist, in others personal or temporal needs, and in still others spiritual help is requested. Some have lost loved ones and are in mourning. Whatever the circumstances, we know that we can truly depend only on Yahweh, our healer and provider.

You can submit your request for inclusion on the prayer list in several ways.

Your Kingdom Come

As we near the time of the end, it is important that we remember how our Savior taught us to pray.

“Pray, then, in this way: 'Our Father who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done, On earth as it is in heaven.’” (Matthew 6:9-10; NASU)

By praying this prayer each day, we help focus our thoughts on the things in life that are the most important. As worshipers of Yahweh and followers of Yahshua, our number one priority should be Yahweh’s Kingdom. The message of Yahweh’s coming Kingdom was, and still is, the message that we must put forth to all people. This was the message preached by Yahshua, “Now after John had been taken into custody, Yahshua came into Galilee, preaching the good news of Yahweh and saying, ‘The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of Yahweh is at hand; repent and believe in the good news.’” (Mark 1:14-15; NASU)

In order for us to gain the reward of Yahweh’s Kingdom when our Savior returns, we must live our lives in pursuit of that goal. We must avoid getting overly involved in the cares of the world, and must not allow material blessings to make us anxious and turn us away from that end. Yahshua’s words about seeking the kingdom of Yahweh are even more penetrating now than they were when He spoke them. “Do not worry then, saying, 'What will we eat?' or 'What will we drink?' or 'What will we wear for clothing?' For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” (Matthew 6:31-33; NASU)

Let us always keep our eyes on the prize of Yahweh’s Kingdom as we live our lives in accordance with His holy covenant.

May Almighty Yahweh Bless His People,

Your Brethren in Yahweh’s Truth
