[ May/June Newsletter ]

Greetings Brethren, We hope that you had a great Feast of Weeks and we wish you all the spiritual and temporal blessings that come with keeping Yahweh’s feast days. We are given the Aaronic blessing from Num. 6:22-27 at the conclusion of every feast that we completed. Yahweh commands us to keep His commandments and these are a part of the covenant. In Lev. 26:2-13 it reads: 2 You shall keep My sabbaths and reverence My sanctuary; I am the Yahweh. 3 If you walk in My statutes and keep My commandments so as to carry them out, 4 then I shall give you rains in their season, so that the land will yield its produce and the trees of the field will bear their fruit. 5 Indeed, your threshing will last for you until grape gathering, and grape gathering will last until sowing time. You shall eat your food to the full and live securely in your land. 6 I shall also grant peace in the land, so that you may lie down with no one making you afraid. I shall also eliminate harmful beasts from the land, and no sword will pass through your land. 7 But you will chase your enemies and they will fall before you by the sword; 8 five of you will chase a hundred, and a hundred of you will chase ten thousand, and your enemies will fall before you by the sword. 9 So I will turn toward you and make you fruitful and multiply you, and I will confirm My covenant with you. 10 You will eat the old supply and clear out the old because of the new. 11 And, I will make My Tabernacle among you, and My soul will not reject you. 12 I will also walk among you and be your Elohim, and you shall be My people. 13 I am Yahweh your Elohim, who brought you out of the land of Egypt so that you would not be their slaves, and I broke the bars of your yoke and made you walk upright. Let Almighty Yahweh confirm His covenant with each of us that loves Him and walks in His law.

Who Shall Prevail?

We are constantly told in the scriptures that many are the afflictions of the righteous but who are these people? Most Christians see themselves as those people but the scriptures teach us that the righteouses are those who keep the covenant of Almighty Yahweh. Yahweh is the true mighty one of this world who revealed Himself to the Israelite people of the Old Testament and chose them to be His people. They entered into a covenant with Him to keep His commandments and He would bless them in all their ways. What is this covenant and what does it entail? Deut. 5:6-21 is known as the Ten Commandments and this was given to the Israelites to live by. We all seem to know what the Ten Commandment are yet very few live by them whether Christian or Jew. The first commandment deals with Yahweh's name: "I am Yahweh your Elohim, who has brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other elohim before me." Almighty Yahweh states His name and says we shall have no other elohim, which means mighty one before Him. The Jews don’t use the name of Yahweh exclusively they use titles or other names as to not desecrate the name of Yahweh. They have an active ban on using the Holy Name Yahweh. The gentiles or Christians don’t use the name or see the importance of using the Name of the Holy One of Israel. There is only one living El and that is Yahweh Most High all glory and praise belongs to Him. The definition of righteousness is the keeping of the commandments Deut. 6:25, would that not include observing the 1st commandment. Who shall prevail?

The second commandment states: "You shall not make to yourself a graven image, nor any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: you shall not bow down to them, or serve them; for I Yahweh your Elohim am a jealous El, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, to the third and the fourth generation of them that hate me; and showing mercy to thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments." We know that many Christian sects use idols in their worship and violate this commandment but the idols that are in the hearts of the people are even worst. The symbol of the crucifix is an idolatrous symbol that is prevalent throughout Christianity, which violates this commandment. The Jews are just as bad as far as their idols of the hearts go in Ezk. 8:7- 18 we see all kinds of abominations carried out by the Jewish people who said that all the words of Yahweh’s covenant we will do. Even today most people say they love Almighty Yahweh but their cars and their houses and other material blessings come before Almighty Yahweh. Who shall prevail?

The third commandment states: "You shall not make wrong use of the name of Yahweh your Elohim: for Yahweh will not leave unpunished the man that misuses his name." This commandment speaks volumes since the Jewish authority forbids the use of the Holy name and the Christians prefer to use the pagan names. Yahshua taught the Holy name and in John 17:26 said: "and I made known to them your name, and will make it known; that the love with which you loved me may be in them, and I in them." In Mark 11:9 it states: "Those who went in front and those who followed were shouting: "Hosanna! BLESSED IS HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF YAHWEH; So we see that the name of Yahweh is so important that our savior Yahshua taught it and it will be proclaimed to the world before Yahsua returns. Who shall prevail?

The fourth commandment states: 12"Observe the Sabbath day to keep it holy, as Yahweh your Elohim commanded you. 13Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 14but the seventh day is a Sabbath of Yahweh your Elohim; in it you shall not do any work, you or your son or your daughter or your male servant or your female servant or your ox or your donkey or any of your cattle or your sojourner who stays with you, so that your male servant and your female servant may rest as well as you. 15You shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and Yahweh your Elohim brought you out of there by a mighty hand and by an outstretched arm; therefore Yahweh your Elohim commanded you to observe the Sabbath day." The Sabbath day is very controversial but is very plain in the scriptures it is not something we can change as part of the covenant. We must accept the Sabbath day and keep it as is described in the Torah. The Sabbath is a sign according to Ex. 31:13-17 and all those who keep it are set apart for a holy purpose. "But as for you, speak to the sons of Israel, saying, 'You shall surely observe My Sabbaths; for this is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am Yahweh who sanctifies you. 14Therefore you are to observe the Sabbath, for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to death; for whoever does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from among his people. 15For six days work may be done, but on the seventh day there is a Sabbath of complete rest, holy to Yahweh; whoever does any work on the Sabbath day shall surely be put to death. 16So the sons of Israel shall observe the Sabbath, to celebrate the Sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant.' 17It is a sign between Me and the sons of Israel forever; for in six days Yahweh made heaven and earth, but on the seventh day He rested from labor, and was refreshed." Are you a sanctified believer? If so then you are going to keep the Sabbath as Yahweh has commanded. Who shall prevail?

The fifth commandment states: Honor your father and your mother, as Yahweh your Elohim has commanded you, that your days may be prolonged and that it may go well with you on the land which Yahweh your Elohim gives you.Do you honor the parents that Almighty Yahweh has given you? Most people take for granted the parents they are given, they believe they know more and are wiser than their parents. Yahweh has blessed every one with their set of parents we must show them the honor and respect even if they don't deserve it. It may be that Yahweh wants you to save your parents through your faithfulness. If we show them the honor we will receive a blessing according to the commandment. Do you believe Almighty Yahweh brethren? If we love Almighty Yahweh we will follow this commandment and multiply our days and that our lives will be blessed. Who shall prevail?

The sixth commandment states: You shall not commit murder. If you commit murder you take away someone else's right to live. We don’t have the authority to limit someone else’s right to life. Almighty Yahweh has given the breath of life who are we to take it away. Cain violated this commandment in taking his brother Abel’s life. It was wrong then and it is still wrong today. Remember the golden rule "do unto others as you would have them do unto you." We must show love one to another each and every day do not allow sin to cause us to violate Almighty Yahweh’s perfect law. Who shall prevail?

The seventh commandment states: You shall not commit adultery. If you commit adultery you violate another’s bed and their relationship with their spouse. This is a selfish act that defiles the marriage relationship of another. If we love Almighty Yahweh we are only looking to our own spouse to become one with. Satan wants us to lust after other people’s spouses. Yahweh has given each of us our own as a blessing to us. Prov. 18:22 "whoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh." We all want the favor of Yahweh in our lives so let us be faithful in all things and keep this commandment. Who shall prevail?

The eighth commandment states: You shall not steal. If you steal you violate your neighbors rights in that you are taking something that belongs to someone else. How do you feel when something of yours is taken? It is not a good feeling so why make someone else feel that way. If you love Almighty Yahweh you are looking to give of your abundance of which He has blessed you to others that don’t have as much. The evil one is always looking for ways to compromise Yahweh’s people but we have to always look out for the traps of the Devil. Be a giver and you will be blessed. Who shall prevail?

The ninth commandment states: You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. Lev.19: 11b says "nor lie to one another" we must always speak the truth brethren. This is difficult to do for most people since Satan has influenced mankind to do evil to one another. Almighty Yahweh did not want man to know evil but after Eve was tricked and violated the commandment of Yahweh we have been lying ever since. Choose to speak the truth to one another there is a blessing in it. Who shall prevail?

The tenth commandment states: You shall not covet your neighbor's wife, and you shall not desire your neighbor’s house, his field or his male servant or his female servant, his ox or his donkey or anything that belongs to your neighbor. Almighty Yahweh wants all of His people to have their own, we do not need to covet what others have because we can have in abundance if we so desire. Our purpose is to bless one another and lift each other up in doing so we bless ourselves because we want the best for each other. If you look at His people you will see their love for their neighbor, which causes a chain reaction of blessings. In Num. 23:20 Balaam states: "Behold, I have received a commandment to bless; when He has blessed, then I cannot reverse it." We need to desire what Almighty Yahweh wants us to have and we will be blessed. Who shall prevail?

Only those who keep the covenant will prevail brethren that are walking in truth. This is why Almighty Yahweh gave His covenant to us that we might overcome this world and this life. We have the victory over the evil one already if we keep Almighty Yahweh’s commandments faithfully each and every day.

Feast of Weeks

Almighty Yahweh showed us His law and His Holy Spirit this Pentecost as we gathered together in many locations here in America. The lessons we learned were for our benefit in directing us towards His soon coming kingdom. The love of the brethren was so evident in our worship services and in the lives of the brethren that participated in our services throughout the country. We are praying that the fruit will be evident in a great harvest by the feast of Tabernacles. Are you making plans to be at the feast of the seventh month as commanded in the word? If the Holy Spirit of Yahweh convicts you, you will be there. The foundation of the law is the commandments and Israel of old said and we have agreed as well that; "all the words which Yahweh has spoken we will do". We must do what we say brethren when we vow a vow to Yahweh we must be willing to pay it. The feast of Weeks or Pentecost is also known as the feast of oaths. Shavuot means weeks in Hebrew. It can also mean oaths. The rabbi's have compared it to a wedding between Yahweh and the Jewish people. For this reason, another name for the holiday is The Day of the Great Oath (wedding vows). Shavuot is a time when we can renew our acceptance of Yahweh's gifts. We want to continue to receive the blessings from on high so our part is to be ready for the bridegroom when he appears. For he will come at the sound of the trumpet so let's get ready brethren.

Home Front Officer: Missile attack would force massive evacuation of Tel Aviv
DEBKAfile Special Report June 12, 2012, 6:18 PM (GMT+02:00)

Col. Adam Zusman, Home Front Commander of Israel’s Dan region (Tel Aviv and its environs), told AFP Tuesday, June 12, "In case of a missile attack on the centre of Israel, especially unconventional attacks and if buildings are destroyed, the population from Tel Aviv and other cities will be evacuated and relocated in other areas of the country." The officer did not say to where the roughly two million inhabitants of the Dan region’s core towns of Tel Aviv, Bat Yam, Holon, Petakh Tikva, Ramat Hasharon, Ramat Gan, Givatayim, Bein Brak, Herzliya, Or Yehuda, Givat Shmuel and Kiryat Ono, would be evacuated. DEBKAfile’s military sources estimate they will be relocated in the southern mostly desert Negev region. The outer Gush Dan ring includes some 3 million people. Col. Zusman said Israel continued to face serious threats from Iran and its allies, the Lebanese terrorist group Hezbollah and Gaza's Hamas rulers. He did not refer to Syria. "In the next war, nobody will be able to drink a coffee in Dizengoff," he said, referring to a popular street in downtown Tel Aviv. "Israeli civilians will have to face the threat. Today, every civilian is threatened in Israel." Thirty percent of the Israeli population under his command are short of gas masks. Zusman added Israel has some of the "most sophisticated" anti-aircraft system in the world, but that the Jewish state could not count on any system for total protection. "We are getting ready for the worst-case scenario." Until now, Israeli officials and high-ranking officers have never talked openly about the potential outcome of a concentrated missile attack on central Israel, although two days ago, the deputy chief of staff, Maj. General Yair Naveh disclosed that Syria had the biggest arsenal in the world of chemical weapons and also rockets able to strike every part of Israel.

DEBKAfile’s military sources report that plans were drawn up to evacuate Tel Aviv and some of its outlying towns two years ago when it turned out that in a potential war, that centralregion might be attacked with missiles carrying "dirty" (radioactive) warheads which spreads contamination across an area of several square kilometers, or containing poison chemicals, nerve gas or biological substances. While Iran is the only possible source of nuclear bombs, although none are yet operational, the other types of unconventional weapons are possessed by Iran, Syria and Hizballah. Israel’s Defense Forces area also prepared for a nuclear or dirty bomb attack coming from the Mediterranean Sea to the West.

Col. Zusman did not go into the logistics of a massive population transfer from Tel Aviv or the measures to sustain them as refugees. However, because of the awareness of Tel Aviv’s potential danger, building was halted there on a new underground facility for the IDF General Command, which unlike the present war room was planned to withstand intense missile attack. Our military sources report that an alternative site has been reserved to house the high command in the event of war.

NEWS, NOTES, & NOTABLES

Looking Ahead to the Next New Moon: The new moon for the 4th scriptural month should be visible the evening of Wednesday June 20, 2012. So watch.

In Genesis 1:14-18 we see the significance of the heavenly bodies. "Then Elohim said, 'Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years; and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth;' and it was so. Then Elohim made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also. Elohim set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth, 18 and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness. And Elohim saw that it was good." (NKJV)

Be sure to look for this new moon and report your findings to us by calling 717-383-6975.

We are commanded to pray for the sick among us in James 5:13-15 13“Is any among you suffering? Let him pray. Is any cheerful? Let him sing praise. 14Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of Yahweh: 15 and the prayer of faith shall save him that is sick, and Yahweh shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, it shall be forgiven him. Let us pray for these people who have a petition before Almighty Yahweh.
