DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR APRIL 23, 2018

4/23/2018 Mic 4:5 All the nations may walk in the name of their Elohim; we will walk in the name of Yahweh our Elohim for ever and ever.

There are over 1500 Christian denominations. There are several hundred more religious groups in the world. Each religious order has chosen to follow the principles set down by that group and they worship and pay homage to his g-d (Hebrew ‘elohaw’) of that faith. On the other hand, we have determined to follow our Creator (Hebrew ‘elohenu’), whose Name is Yahweh. The prophet Micah prophesied not merely to the Jews he lived with or to his relatives of the 10 northern tribes. He spoke to all who read his words. “Hear, O peoples, all of you, listen, O earth and all who are in it, that the Sovereign Yahweh may witness against you, Yahweh from his holy temple,” (Mic 1:2). The word of Yahweh is not limited to one group or to one individual. Its message is for all mankind and one of the most important messages is to know His Name and to use it exclusively about Him. His Name is the most used term in the Bible, appearing over 7,000 times in the text. If you have not already done so, restore Yahweh’s Name to the text whenever you read the Bible. It will greatly improve your understanding. If you already worship in the Name of Yahweh, remember that His is the glory for ever and ever for He is our mighty one (‘elohenu’).
