DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR DECEMBER 12, 2017

Judah 14-15 Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men: “See, Yahweh is coming with thousands upon thousands of his holy ones to judge everyone, and to convict all the unrighteous of all the unrighteous acts they have done in the unrighteous way, and of all the harsh words unrighteous sinners have spoken against him.”

Enoch was a man of faith. He lived before the flood and witnessed the extensive evil that had taken hold of man at that time. While we are not told of the specific sins and wicked acts they committed, we do know that the hearts of these people were set against Yahweh and on every wicked thought their imaginations could conjure up. In the middle of this generation of wickedness, Enoch was a voice of condemnation. He spoke out against sinful and vile acts and against speaking against Yahweh. A record of his dedication to Yahweh was evidently passed on from generation to generation and written about here in Judah. What will your legacy be? Long after you are gone, will people generations later still speak of your dedication and faithfulness to Yahweh? It all begins with how you live your life. Be the voice of reason and truth to those around you. This could be the beginning of your legacy.
