Daily Devotional for December 08, 2018
Shabbat Shalom

Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of Elohim? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of Elohim. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of Yahshua the Messiah and by the Spirit of our Elohim. 1 Cor 6:9-11

The list of those who are in danger of exclusion from the Kingdom of Yahweh is clear. We must all take care to ensure that we practice none of the behaviors that Paul lists here. We must also avoid even the thoughts that lead to practicing such behavior. Yahshua taught that even looking on a woman with lust in the heart is the same as committing adultery with her. The act may not have been committed but the spiritual essence of the law is violated. We must take the same approach with all of the behaviors listed here.

Even if you practiced such things in the past, you must remain separate from them now. The blood of our Savior and Redeemer Yahshua has washed and cleansed us from our past sins. The key idea is past.

We are now in a state of innocence and Yahweh wants us to remain in such a sanctified state.

Each day take time to review your life and to make certain that you have effectively eliminated sexual sins and idolatry in every form, and uncontrollable behavior. A place in the Kingdom of Yahweh awaits all who are successful in doing so.
