3/21/2019 James 2:14-18 What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, “Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.” Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do. You cannot separate what you do from who you are. It is easy to look at others and sometimes tell them of their flaws. But do your works reflect the faith that you profess to others? Do you reach out to those in need? Do you extend yourself when you see suffering in those you encounter? Can those who know you best see the faith you have, or do they only know your faith through your words? Show everyone your faith by what you do. This proclaims your faith louder than if you use a public-address system. It may be cliché, but actions speak volumes above words.
