DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR SEPTEMBER 10, 2021
‘These are the regulations concerning animals, birds, every living thing that moves in the water and every creature that moves about on the ground. You must distinguish between the unclean and the clean, between living creatures that may be eaten and those that may not be eaten.’ Lev 11:46-47
Do you know and understand Yahweh’s clean and unclean food laws? Do you make a distinction between those things He says we can eat and those that He restricts? This is more than some ritualistic ancient custom. It is what our Creator has demanded of us. He made us and knows what is good and what is harmful to the human body. We may not be able to scientifically detail all of the reasons that this is true. But it is interesting to know that violations of these principles are the root cause of many human illnesses and deaths.
Take the time to study and learn these laws as described here in Lev. 11 and also in Deut 14. Know and apply them in your life. Doing so is a step toward holiness.
