Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. Ps 73:25
What wonderfully consoling and truthful words! There is nothing in existence that we can truly rely on other than Yahweh. He is source of any strength that we have. He is the One we can turn to in our darkest and most desperate times. Everyone and everything on earth is fragile, potentially weak, and variable. Even our closest confidents—our spouse or best friend—has times when they cannot be there for us for one reason or another. But Yahweh is always available and there.
We must use His presence to build on the strengths we have, while eliminating our weaknesses at the same time. We do this by remaining close to Him at all times and in every situation we face. Make Yahweh your sanctuary, your place of refuge. He is the only one you can truly depend on.
