Daily Devotional for May 31, 2023
Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in Yahweh. Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them. Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases Yahweh. Fathers, do not embitter your children, or they will become discouraged. Col 3:18-21
The family is the most important unit in our lives. We are all sons or daughters. Many of us are married and many of us have children. Do we take the time and make the consistent effort to make sure those relationships fit the model outlined by Paul here and detailed further in Ephesians 5:22-6:4? Do you tell your spouse, parents, or children that you love them and also express that love through actions? Are you as a child properly showing respect and love to your parents? Are you as a husband honoring your wife as an equal with whom you are joint heirs to the Kingdom of Yahweh (1 Peter 3:7)? Today make it a point to show love and respect to your family. Yahweh will bless you for doing so.
