But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Messiah Yahshua. All Scripture is breathed by Yahweh and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of Elohim may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:14-17
In these verses Paul is admonishing Timothy to continue in the things he has learned from his mother Eunice and his grandmother Lois. While most of Christianity has stated that the old testament no longer applies to us, the holy scriptures Paul is making mention of is the old testament. The Bible is a complete work which, if allowed, will harmonize perfectly. The sacred writings are able to make the people of Yahweh perfect, and thoroughly furnished unto all good works. We need to allow them to do their work that we may be pleasing to Yahweh and that we may grow to the full stature of our blessed Messiah.
