DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR JANUARY 3, 2018

John 1:36-41 When he saw Yahshua passing by, he said, “Look, the Lamb of Yahweh!” When the two disciples heard him say this, they followed Yahshua. Turning around, Yahshua saw them following and asked, “What do you want?” They said, “Rabbi” (which means Teacher), “where are you staying?” “Come,” he replied, “and you will see.” So, they went and saw where he was staying, and spent that day with him. It was about the tenth hour. Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, was one of the two who heard what John had said and who had followed Yahshua. The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, “We have found the Messiah” (that is, the Anointed).

Finding the Messiah was a high point in the life of Andrew and Peter. What a blessed thought! What a comfort for them and for us. We know Who He is and understand what He stands for. The world accepted and continues to accept counterfeit Messiahs. Each day take hope and rejoice in the knowledge that you, like Andrew and Peter, have found the True Anointed Son of Yahweh. Follow His example. For only through Him and only in His Name (Yahshua) can salvation be found.
