DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR OCTOBER 05, 2019 SHABBAT SHALOM
Praise Yahweh, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise Yahweh, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits — who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. Yahweh works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed. Ps 103:1-6
During the midst of this time of introspection, remind yourself of the benefits of worshiping Yahweh. He is the only one who can forgive the sins we confess, which is the central theme of the penitential days we are in. He heals, redeems, and satisfies. He renews your strength each day. He will someday bestow on the faithful the crown of life. What a great hope we have! The promise of life with Him and His Son eternally in an Edenic earth. Will you be included among this group? If you acknowledge His benefits, and confess your sins before the Day of Atonement, the crown of life awaits.
