11/12/2019 2 Cor 4:17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. When it seems that our world is about to end abruptly due to some tragedy or ill fortune, it’s sometimes all we can do to keep everything together, with some sort of order. We should remember Paul’s words that our “light affliction is only for a moment.” Surely our affliction never seems “light”, nor while we’re going through it, does it seem to be but a moment”. It does, however, work for us a far greater reward in the long run. For when we seem to be at our weakest point, that is when we’re strengthened by Yahweh to endure whatever life can throw our way.
