DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR MAY 20, 2020 TODAY IS DAY 39 IN THE COUNT TOWARDS PENTECOST
5/20/2020 Prov 26:20-21 Without wood a fire goes out; without gossip a quarrel dies down. As charcoal to embers and as wood to fire, so is a quarrelsome man for kindling strife. Avoid every attempt to have you become involved in gossip. Nearly every day those around us become involved in discussions about the character and activities of others who are not present. Be careful to avoid character assassination. Make the effort to stay far away from whispers that you know would do harm and especially when they are based on lies and innuendos. These whispers are a major source of contention and must be eliminated. Your life will be much more peaceful if you remove yourself from the whisperers around you.
