DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR JUNE 30, 2020

6/30/2020 1 Cor 2:1-2 When I came to you, brothers, I did not come with eloquence or superior wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about Elohim. For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Yahshua the Messiah and him [sacrificed]. Paul’s knowledge of the Word of Yahweh was immense. He had been a rabbinic student and as such was an intelligent and brilliant man. Yet he chose to speak so that others could understand. He never sought to impress others and avoided the trap of developing a superiority complex. His goal was to teach others the beauty and knowledge of the sacrifice of our Savior Yahshua. He understood that without Yahshua’s blood, man could never have true forgiveness from his sins. Paul wanted others to know of the life and teachings of this great man, Yahshua. He wanted them to appreciate His wisdom and humility. He attempted to persuade his audience to become more like this man who always did what was pleasing to His Father. In our desire to share the truth with others, we must avoid arrogance and superiority. We must maintain humility. We must testify to the great importance of the greatest sacrifice any man has ever made and we must do so in sincerity and in truth. Do not be ashamed of our faith. Witness its elements whenever you can. If you allow Him to, Yahshua will give you the words to be effective as Paul was and just as humble.
