5/24/2018 Heb 11:39-40 These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised. Yahweh had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect.

The eleventh chapter of Hebrews is called the faith chapter. It is the central theme of this chapter. Its contents include allusions to many men and women who displayed great faith throughout their lives—Abraham, Isaac, Joseph, Moses, Gideon, Jephthah, Samson, David, etc. Yahweh was extremely pleased with all these men and women and extended a great promise to them. However, their promise will not be fulfilled for them. Yahweh is waiting for all of the saints to be revealed. He is providing each of us the opportunity to join them when they receive the promise of eternal life. Are you taking full advantage of this opportunity? Are you striving to be included with them? Are you doing everything you can to be joined with the faithful? Their reward will be great. Yours could be as well.
