DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR OCTOBER 11, 2018
10/11/2018 1 Thes 5:14-15 And we urge you, brothers, warn those who are idle, encourage the timid, help the weak, be patient with everyone. Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always try to be kind to each other and to everyone else.
How encouraging are you toward others? Do you make the effort to strengthen those around you during difficult times? Do you seek to assist wherever and whenever you can? Paul tells us that we are supposed to be a support system for each other. This support involves assisting physically, mentally, emotionally, financially, and especially spiritually. It also requires that you step in when you see your loved ones about to make mistakes—mistakes which lead to sin. Today as you watch yourself, also watch out for someone close to you.
