An anxious heart weighs a man down,
but a kind word cheers him up. Pro 12:25
Our Savior warned us about being anxious. He probably thought about these wise words from the book of Proverbs. When a person is anxious, he cannot see things as clearly as he should. He is weighed down with details that often obscure realities that are right before his eyes.
Each of us must consider our own tendencies toward anxiety but also the anxieties of those around us. When we flood the air with our problems, fears, and apprehensions, we must realize that we are negatively influencing others. If they are already experiencing some type of worries, our worries will only serve to magnify their own.
Make the special effort to give good, encouraging words to those around you. Do not allow your personal struggles to make the struggles of others worse than they already are. Be a source of strength because your good words will make others glad.
