DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR JANUARY 6, 2018
SHABBAT SHALOM

Is 45:20-22 Gather together and come; assemble, you fugitives from the nations. Ignorant are those who carry about idols of wood, who pray to Elohim that cannot save. Declare what is to be, present it — let them take counsel together. Who foretold this long ago, who declared it from the distant past? Was it not I, Yahweh? And there is no Elohim apart from me, a righteous Elohim and a Savior; there is none but me. “Turn to me and be saved, all you ends of the earth; for I am Elohim, and there is no other.

Much of the world recently completed observing an annual religious season. It included carrying wood into the homes of many in celebration of this holiday and worshiping to an el that cannot save. There is only one true being through whom salvation may be received. Yahweh sent His Son Yahshua into the world to give His life in the place of sinful man. People continue to look in all the wrong place for Him. They look to eastern religions. They look to philosophical theories for comfort. They seek explanations from science. But the answers all come from one source and that source is Yahweh our Creator. Give Him the honor He deserves.
