DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR JANUARY 17, 2020
1/17/2020 Genesis 31:11-12 The angel of Elohim said to me in the dream, ‘Jacob.’ I answered, ‘Here I am.’ And he said, ‘Look up and see that all the male goats mating with the flock are streaked, speckled or spotted, for I have seen all that Laban has been doing to you. This is Jacob’s account to his wives of how Laban, their father, tried to cheat Jacob by changing his wages. While it might have been hard to deal with knowing that there was not much he could do, Yahweh was showing Jacob that He saw everything that happened to him and was still blessing him. Sometimes it seems we go through things and there’s nothing we can do to change them. Some things we have the power to change but for the things we can’t change take courage that Yahweh sees what is going on and He will make all things work for good to those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.
