Daily Devotional for May 24, 2021
The earth dries up and withers,
the world languishes and withers,
the exalted of the earth languish.
The earth is defiled by its people;
they have disobeyed the laws,
violated the statutes
and broken the everlasting covenant.
Therefore a curse consumes the earth;
its people must bear their guilt.
Therefore earth’s inhabitants are burned up,
and very few are left. Isaiah 24:4-6
Most people believe that a time of trouble is to come upon this Earth. While we daily hear of famines, drought, floods, storms and other devastation that plagues mankind, the great tribulation will be far worse than anything we can imagine. Notice that the Earth is defiled, is made filthy, ceremonially unclean, or polluted by the people who have transgressed the laws (sinned 1Jn.3:4) and broken the everlasting covenant. Environmentalists are always looking for ways to “save” the Earth, but the only true way is to begin keeping the covenant of almighty Yahweh and to live according to His dictates. But prophecy will be fulfilled therefore the Earth will be ravaged by the wrath of Yahweh. A large storm is headed our way and we can’t escape it, the only thing we can do is prepare for it by living a righteous life and trusting in Yahshua’s sacrifice, which will allow us to be saved by the protection that only Yahweh can provide.
